Measures to Ensure the Normal Operation of a Baghouse Dust Collector
Ensuring the normal operation of a baghouse requires comprehensive measures covering selection, operation, and maintenance, including five core aspects.
First, select suitable filter materials and filtration wind speed. Choose high-temperature/corrosion/wear-resistant materials based on working conditions. Control the wind speed at 0.8-1.2m/min, adjusting it according to dust particle size and concentration to balance efficiency and cost.
Second, standardize the operation of the cleaning system. Adjust pressure and frequency to suit dust characteristics—increase frequency for high concentrations but avoid excessive pressure. Regularly check pulse valves, solenoid valves, and air bags to ensure uniform cleaning.
Third, conduct regular inspections. Daily checks include fan operation, pressure difference, ash hopper cleaning, and seals. Weekly checks cover filter bags, pulse valves, and ash discharge. Monthly/annual maintenance includes corrosion inspection, seal replacement, and comprehensive overhauls.
Fourth, control intake conditions. Install pre-treatment devices (heat exchangers, dehumidifiers, desulfurization equipment) for high-temperature/humidity/corrosive gases, and prevent large impurities from entering.
Fifth, follow standard start-up/shutdown procedures. Conduct pre-start checks, start the fan first and then the cleaning system; during shutdown: stop the dust source, run the fan and cleaning system for 5-10 minutes, then clean the ash hopper. Never start the equipment without bags or stop the fan suddenly.
