LEFILTER's explosion-proof (ATEX/Directive 2014/34/EU compliant) baghouse system is engineered for the critical safety requirements of battery material manufacturing. The housing is constructed to withstand significant overpressure, featuring rugged, reinforced design and explosion relief vents ducted safely outdoors. All electrical components, including the PLC, fan motor, and solenoid valves, are rated for Class II, Division 1, Group E/F/G hazardous environments. Internally, we employ conductive anti-static filter bags grounded through the cage to the structure, preventing dangerous static discharge. The filtration media is specifically selected to handle the fine, lightweight nature of carbon black and lithium compound powders while maintaining high permeability and easy cleanability.

Application Area:
This system is deployed in the mixing, coating, and calendaring areas of lithium-ion battery cathode and anode production. The active materials—such as lithium iron phosphate (LFP), nickel manganese cobalt oxide (NMC), graphite, and conductive carbon black—are extremely fine, highly combustible powders (Kst values often >200 bar*m/s). During processes like powder conveying, mixing with binders, and slurry preparation, fugitive dust escapes into the workspace. A single spark in this environment, combined with a sufficient dust cloud concentration, can trigger a devastating explosion.
