Proper Methods for Selecting Filter Media of Baghouse Dust Collectors
1. Installation Procedures
1.1
Verify and understand the process layout, equipment detail drawings and equipment components.
1.2
Inspect and accept the civil engineering pre-reserved holes, embedded steel plates and space dimensions to check if they are consistent with the design, and verify against the actual equipment. Proceed with installation if there is no discrepancy; conduct necessary rectifications before installation if any deviation is found.
1.3
Hopper installation (omitted for dust collectors without hoppers)
The hopper allows 180° rotation. Its four corners shall rest on the embedded steel plates, and its discharge opening shall be aligned with the center of the pre-reserved discharge opening. The misalignment between the anchor bolts and embedded steel plates shall not exceed 1/4 of the relevant dimension.
1.4
Upper box installation
Before hoisting the upper box, open its cover (fixed by screws) and check if the injection pipes have slipped during transportation. Hoist the upper box and place it above the hopper, align the flange holes of the upper and lower components, and connect them with bolts with asbestos rope for sealing in between (large-scale equipment requires full electric welding and is not equipped with flange holes). Pay attention to the orientation during installation: the side for fan installation shall face the pre-reserved air outlet.
1.5
Air inlet installation (omitted for dust collectors without hoppers)
Weld the air inlet pipe to the air inlet of the hopper, with its orientation determined according to process requirements. The installation height and the length exposed outside the hopper shall be subject to the selected model.
Note: The air inlet and air outlet are in opposite symmetrical directions.
1.6
Air outlet installation
A smoke outlet is provided on the side of the purification chamber of the upper box, which is connected to the fan through welded pipes.
1.7
Air circuit installation
Installation of the pre-reserved nozzles on the pulse valve air tank:
① An air inlet is located on the side of the air tank. Connect the air compressor to this side air inlet of the air tank through an air inlet pipe and an oil-water separator (ensure the air compressor pressure is 5 bar; install a pressure reducing valve if the pressure exceeds 5 bar).
② A drain outlet is located at the lower middle of the air tank. Connect a drain switch via valves and pipe fittings to prevent air leakage.
1.8
Pulse controller connection (electrical circuit installation)
Directly connect the 220V single-phase power supply to the wiring terminals of the controller. The controller has been pre-adjusted at the factory before delivery.
