I. What is a Cyclone Dust Collector?

A cyclone dust collector is a type of dust removal device. 

Its dust removal mechanism involves rotating the dust-laden airflow, using centrifugal force to separate dust particles from the airflow and collect them on the collector wall. 

Gravity then causes the dust particles to fall into the ash hopper. Each component of a cyclone dust collector has specific dimensional proportions, and changes in any of these proportions can affect the collector's efficiency and pressure loss. 

The collector diameter, inlet size, and exhaust pipe diameter are the main influencing factors. During use, it should be noted that exceeding certain limits can turn beneficial factors into detrimental ones. Furthermore, some factors that improve dust removal efficiency may increase pressure loss; 

therefore, adjustments to all factors must be made in a balanced manner.

II. Classification of Cyclone Dust Collectors:

① High-efficiency cyclone dust collectors: These have a smaller cylinder diameter and are used to separate finer dust particles, with a dust removal efficiency of over 95%.

② Large-flow cyclone dust collectors: These have a larger cylinder diameter and are used to handle large gas flow rates, with a dust removal efficiency of 50-80%.

③ General-purpose cyclone dust collectors: These handle moderate air volumes. Due to different structural designs, their dust removal efficiency fluctuates between 70-85%.

④ Explosion-proof cyclone dust collectors: These have built-in explosion-proof valves and possess explosion-proof functionality.

Based on structural form, they can be classified as long conical, cylindrical, diffusion, and bypass types.

Based on combination and installation, they can be classified as internal cyclone dust collectors, external cyclone dust collectors, vertical and horizontal types, and single-cylinder and multi-tube cyclone dust collectors.

Based on the airflow introduction, the flow path of the airflow after entering the cyclone dust collector, and the form of secondary air, it can be broadly divided into the following two types: 

① Tangential flow reverse cyclone dust collector

② Axial flow cyclone dust collector
