Application of Self-Cleaning Air Filters in Air Separation Units

Air separation units take air as raw material, convert it into liquid through compressed cycle deep-freezing, and then gradually separate and produce oxygen, 

nitrogen, argon and other inert gases from liquid air through rectification. They are widely used in traditional metallurgy, new coal chemical industry, large-scale nitrogen fertilizer production, 

professional gas supply and other fields.

For air separation units, dust is one of the main factors affecting the long-term normal operation of the equipment. Dust scaling inside the equipment will affect air flow movement,

 damage the balance of impellers, cause the shaft vibration of rotors to intensify and exceed the standard, and make the surge curve drift. Compared with traditional air filtration equipment, 

the self-cleaning air filter features simple structure, long service life of filter elements and low maintenance workload. 

The filtration principle of the self-cleaning air filter is as follows: 

air passes through the filter cartridge of the filter, dust particles in the air settle on the filter element under the combined action of gravity, inertia, diffusion, static electricity and other factors, 

and the filtered and purified air is delivered out through the venturi tube and then to the outlet header.

The self-cleaning air filter is composed of four parts: filter cartridge, self-cleaning system, pulse backflushing dust cleaning device and control system.
