How to Maintenance and Replacement of Oil-Air Separator?
1.The oil-air separator is a component that separates screw lubricating oil from compressed air. Under normal operation, its service life is about 3000 operating hours,
yet the quality of lubricating oil and air filtration precision exert a huge impact on it. It is clear that the maintenance and replacement cycle of the air filter cartridge
must be shortened in harsh operating environments, and the installation of a pre-air filter should even be considered.
2. The oil-air separator must be replaced when it reaches the service life or the pressure difference between its inlet and outlet exceeds 0.12Mpa;
otherwise, it will cause motor overload, as well as separator damage and oil leakage.
3. Replacement Method:
1) Disconnect all control pipe joints installed on the oil-air tank cover, take out the oil return pipe that extends into the oil-air tank from the cover,
and remove the fastening bolts on the tank.
2) Remove the top cover of the oil-air tank and take out the oil-air separator element.
Clean off the asbestos gaskets and dirt adhering to the top cover plate.
3) Install a new oil-air separator element.
Note that conductive pins must be fitted to both the upper and lower asbestos gaskets, and the gaskets must be neatly placed when compressed;
otherwise, gasket blowout will occur.
4) Refit the top cover plate, oil return pipe and all control pipes in their original positions, and check for any leakage.
