How to replacement of Air Filters for Air Compressors?
Air filters are a key protective barrier for air compressors, serving to filter out impurities from the intake air.
Without effective air filtration, dust, large particles and other contaminants in the air will deposit inside the air compressor, impairing its operation and shortening the service life of lubricating oil.
Filtered air ensures cleaner intake for the compressor, optimizing its performance and durability.
The air filter element is generally recommended for replacement after 2000 hours of operation, with the interval adjustable shorter or longer based on the actual operating environment of the machine.
Immediate replacement is required when the air filter differential pressure triggers an alarm at -0.05 bar.
Step-by-Step Air Filter Replacement
1. Shut down the air compressor and cut off the power supply before performing any replacement procedures.
2. Loosen the wing nut, then remove the filter element. Clean the inner wall of the air filter housing (do not use compressed air for cleaning).
After thorough cleaning, install a new filter element and reassemble the filter unit properly.
3. Conduct a full inspection of the reassembled air filter, and the air compressor can then be put back into normal operation.
