What parameters are needed to verify the air filter cartridge?

When inspecting filter cartridges, the following parameters typically need to be considered:

1. Appearance and Physical Parameters

Dimensions and Specifications: Including the diameter, length, pleat height, and pleat spacing of the filter cartridge, which must match the actual application scenario (such as the dimensions of the dust collector chamber).

Quality Consistency: The quality variation range of filter cartridges in the same batch should be small. Excessive quality differences may affect filtration performance or installation compatibility.

Integrity: Check for damage, fraying, loose fibers, or uneven wall thickness to ensure the filter cartridge structure is intact and free from defects that could affect filtration performance.

2. Filtration Performance Parameters

Filtration Accuracy/Pore Size: Based on the application requirements, determine the filtration accuracy of the filter cartridge for particulate matter (e.g., the retention capacity for particles of different sizes such as 0.3μm, 5μm), usually measured by pore size or counting efficiency.

Filtration Efficiency: Refers to the filter cartridge's ability to remove specific particulate matter, such as dust and smoke. This must meet relevant standards or application requirements.

Air Permeability/Resistance: The air permeability (e.g., the amount of gas passing through per unit area per unit time) or operating resistance of the filter cartridge under a certain pressure difference. Excessive resistance may affect equipment operating efficiency, while insufficient resistance may lead to particle penetration.

3. Material and Durability Parameters

Filter Material Type: Clearly identify the filter material used in the filter cartridge (e.g., polyester, polypropylene, glass fiber, PTFE, etc.). Different filter materials have different temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, and oil and water resistance properties, and should be selected according to the operating environment.

Temperature Resistance: The maximum long-term and short-term temperatures that the filter cartridge can withstand must match the temperature conditions of the actual operating environment to prevent deformation or damage to the filter material due to high temperatures.

Corrosion Resistance: If used in corrosive gas or liquid environments, the acid and alkali resistance and other corrosion resistance properties of the filter material must be checked to ensure stable performance in specific chemical environments.
