Cartridge dust collectors filter air via tiny pores on filter cartridges. Dirty air with smoke and dust flows through the cartridges; dust particles are trapped, and the air is purified. Thus, filter cartridges are key components, directly affecting dust removal efficiency and purification results.

As dust accumulates on cartridges over time, clogging occurs and efficiency drops sharply. Factories with such dust collectors must replace cartridges, with the following precautions:

1. Protect Filter Cartridges During Replacement

No tools are needed. First, open the clamping device of the industrial access door and take out the dirty cartridge gently to avoid dust spread. Clean scattered dust in the filter chamber before installing the new cartridge.

Handle new cartridges with care. Made of folded filter material, membrane-coated cartridges have a fragile surface membrane easily damaged by pressure. Do not tap them or let them fall, as this may cause damage and air leakage.

Do not disassemble or discard used cartridges randomly. Prepare garbage bags in advance, seal the dirty cartridges inside, and transport them for disposal to reduce environmental pollution.

  2. Use OEM Filter Cartridges

Prioritize OEM cartridges for replacement. They fit perfectly during installation and maintain the same purification effect as the original equipment. If using non-OEM cartridges, ensure they are fully equivalent. Mismatched cartridges may lower efficiency and even shorten the dust collector’s service life.

 3. Choose the Right Replacement Time

When efficiency drops noticeably, first remove and clean the cartridge. For collectors with a built-in pulse ash cleaning system, turn on the pulse backwashing switch for automatic cleaning—this eases operation and extends cartridge life. If efficiency remains poor after cleaning, replace the cartridge.
